Good Writing = Great Results

Since fifth grade, writing has been a mainstay in my professional life. It’s a skill that Quinter Design readily shares as part of our efforts to enhance our clients’ profiles. We recently had a revelation about the importance of presenting one’s self in a clearly written, easily read document.

My fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Rogers, preached the value of top notch writing skills. “Good writing brings great results” was her mantra. Each sentence was required to have at least eight words, impeccable grammar and perfect punctuation. Using a wide variety of vocabulary words was the key to colorful, interesting and effective writing.

The great results derived from good writing came home to roost recently. Quinter Design was honored as one of the Gazette Newspapers’ P&B Exceptional 53 Businesses in Maryland. (Check out our press release at http://www.prlog.org/12016386-quinter-design-named-as-one-of-marylands-53-exceptional-businesses.html) As the smallest company in the competition, we were astounded to learn we ranked 21st on the list. We later learned that the strength of Quinter Design’s application was the key to our high ranking, not just the content but the eloquence and clarity of the writing. Mrs. Rogers would be proud.

Also gratifying was the news that three clients were also among the honorees, including one for whom we’d written the contest application. Drawing from those fifth grade lessons, we massaged the text to highlight his sterling accomplishments and to add vibrancy to the narrative.

Quinter Design has written applications for several clients in previous years of the competition. We are very proud to share that every client for whom we’ve written the application has been named as one of the P&B Exceptional 53 Businesses in Maryland.

If you can’t recognize a dangling participle or identify a gerund, be assured that the wordsmiths at Quinter Design have those skills. We’re delighted to tackle your writing projects that would benefit from the attention (and pencil) of a perfectionist. Our track record proves that good writing yields great results.
